Special Notes: Excellent fishing for Lake Char up to 25+ lbs. and Rainbows to 2-1/2 lbs. Trolling with various lures is the method used most successfully on Burns. Fishing is considered good throughout the open water season, but is best in the spring. Ice fishing, during the winter is very popular. Burns Lake is an ideal vacation spot in the heart of the lakes district which features over 4,800 km. (3,000 mi.) of shoreline and fabulous fishing. The possibilties are unlimited. Ice over - November to Early April.
