Pink and Spiny Scallops
Distribution
Discontinuous along coast; may exist in small, higher density beds.
Habitat
Sand/mud bottom in areas with strong current; planktonic larvae dispersed by currents; adults attach to rock with byssus and may move by swimming to new location and re-attaching.
Tidal elevation
5 to 200 m subtidal depth.
