Special Notes: Francois contains a variety of fish species, including Rainbows to 3+ lbs. and Lake Char that will reach up to 20 lbs. and larger. Large spoons and plugs are used for these large Lake Char, while trolling with smaller lures, flatfish, spinning gear or large attractor flies is the most popular method used for Rainbow and Kokanee. The lake fishes well throughout the open water season. Francois is a very large, beautiful lake which offers exceptional recreational opportunities for the vacationer. Ice over - November to early April.Near the outlet at the Francois lake bridge: No fishing Nov 15-April 30, trout/char daily quota = 2(1 over 50cm), release all rainbow trout, bait ban single barbless hook, no set lining.
