Richmond Golden Rods and Reels Society

Passion to fish is what our members all share. Some of our members have fished for years or renewing their interest in fishing and others are just learning. RGRRS was founded in 1981 as a non-profit recreational and social club for seniors who share a common interest in fishing. Our membership shows a diversity with women and new Canadians feeling welcomed. 
Membership dues are $40.00 per year.  General meetings include discussion of club business, planning club activities, presentations on fishing techniques, reports on member fishing trips. There is time for socializing and members may join for lunch after meeting.
Fishing trips Can be 1-2 day outings per month. These can be local lakes, rivers and the ocean. Some members have their own boats and share with those who don’t.  Week long  fishing trips (5 per year) are planned annually into various locations within BC’s interior and one to Nootka Sound from May to September. 
Competition is low key but there are annual trophies in various categories awarded for fish caught in club organized trips. 
Volunteering is limited to two events per year. We do not fund raise.

Ridgedale Rod & Gun Club

The Ridgedale Rod & Gun Club was founded on March 9,1937, by a local group of dedicated fishers, hunters and shooters. Game dinners, shoots and fishing competitions were regular events.
Since then the Club has grown into a vibrant, family-friendly club that sponsors and supports the recreational and sporting use of firearms, archery and fishing equipment, and working cooperatively with all levels of government to develop sustainable management practices to conserve, fish and wildlife and the natural environment of British Columbia.
Throughout the years, the Club has hosted and supported numerous community initiatives and events, and continues to do so.

Adams River Salmon Society

The Adams River Salmon Society is run by a volunteer board of directors who are elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. The primary focus of the Society is to help organize and run the Salute to the Sockeye held during the dominant run every four years. In addition, the Society helps to determine how best to utilize the proceeds from the Salutes, including the parking lot revenue, to fulfill its mandate to encourage and facilitate the education and conservation of the natural and cultural resources of Roderick Haig-Brown Park. For example, funding for the interpretive signage throughout the Park came from the Salute proceeds, known as the Legacy Fund. Another project for the Society has been the restoration of the former overflow parking lot, which began with the planting of over 1,000 tree seedlings in the spring of 2010.

The British Columbia Federation Of Drift Fishers was formed in March 1996 by a group of concerned anglers who felt that their chosen method of angling was in jeopardy.
The Federation has grown to be recognized as the voice of British Columbia's river anglers.
Protection of the resource is our primary concern. The Federation is committed to working with other similar minded organizations and government agencies, whose goals parallel our own.

Pacific Salmon Foundation

The Pacific Salmon Foundation was established in 1987 as an independent, non-governmental, charitable organization to protect, conserve and rebuild wild Pacific salmon populations in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.

The Foundation:
*Raises money and makes grants to volunteer organizations that work on behalf of salmon across the province – $9 million invested in volunteer-driven salmon projects that have engaged more than 35,000 volunteers.
* Manages multi-million dollar initiatives in the Skeena and Fraser River watersheds in partnership with industry, provincial and federal governments and other foundations.
* Advances scientific and evidence-based solutions to challenges facing wild Pacific salmon.
